Advice To Government On Issue That Pertain To Education - ETCSINES

Glory to God in the highest as we bring this important topic to a close, we have been discussing on the government contribution to cramming, we must tell you, each and every write-up has been directed to each area that needs to be addressed. Today’s topic would not fall short of that. We will be given an advice as a body to the government on an issue that pertains to education, in other words, we are offering a suggestion to them as to how to increase the educational system of the country.

First off, we want to commend the government of Nigeria for their effort in making education a reality in the country, truly they have given their best but they can do more. Research reveals that quality education holds the number four position when it comes to the sustainable development goals given by the United Nations. This shows the level of priority placed on quality education in any nation of the world.

Education is one of the most powerful and proven vehicles for sustainable development. This goal ensures that all girls and boys complete free primary and secondary schooling by 2030. It also aims to provide equal access to affordable vocational training, to eliminate gender and wealth disparities, and achieve universal access to a quality higher education. It is believed that some factors affect the growth of this goal and deny the accomplishment of this goal, such factors are that “children from the poorest households are up to four times more likely to be out of school than those of the richest households. Disparities between rural and urban areas also remain high”. You only need to take a survey round the rural areas in the country for you to witness the number of the poor family we have, surprisingly, you will reach some villages and be shocked to see the number of people who don’t even have something to wear not to talk of having the quality education.

Most of the houses in this region are made of leaves and sticks, you wonder if we are still in the primitive era, but when you come to the modern area of the country, you wonder if such area exists in a country like Nigeria, the question you asked yourself is that “are the government not aware of this issue?”. Of a truth, they are aware but much work has been done to salvage such situation, when a government comes into power, you witness the time and energy put into campaigning, you hear about the well-written manifesto and presentation but after few years of getting into power, you see no result, this has been the cycle we engage in year after year in the country, government after government, it seems no government is ready to take up the mantle and fight for the emancipation of the people in the rural area and provide quality education for all as stated out in the sustainable development goal  four.

In this light, we advise the government or successive government or any government who is interested in the well-being of the people to focus more on this aspect, enough of empty promises; we believe that success is not in the amount of what you do but in the amount of energy you put into achieving one particular goal. We have had a lot of government in the past that had series of things they wanted to do but no government has actually considered this aspect, we are using this campaign and write-up has a medium to reach out to those interested in power or want to lead the nations to considered this fundamental human right goal and help a generation. Thanks
